Wooden bike wall mounts – for bikes that belong in the living room
Your bike is too beautiful for the basement or hallway. With our oak and birch wall mounts, it hangs where you can see it: in the living room, the hallway or the study. The top tube rests securely in the wood, the wall stays clean, and depending on the model you also gain a shelf or a hidden compartment.
Every mount is only made in our partner carpentry workshop once you have ordered. Including shipping, that takes approx. 7–10 days – but in return you get a piece built for you rather than goods from a warehouse. Our Johannes model won the German Design Award in 2019.

Every Bicycledudes mount is only made once you order – in our partner carpentry workshop, a family business with more than 40 years of experience. There they otherwise build wooden windows and doors, made-to-measure fitted furniture and faithful reproductions of historic windows for listed buildings. That experience with precise dimensions and durable timber construction goes into your wall mount too.
- Selected wood: solid oak (Johannes, Franz-Josef, Friedrich, Henry, Max) and dimensionally stable birch multiplex made of many cross-glued layers (Oskar, Gustav, Clemens, Jakob, Fritz).
- Made by skilled hands: cut, sanded and lacquered in the workshop – made to order, no warehouse stock.
- Felt lining (optional): protects your frame’s paint where it rests.
- Time for care: approx. 5 working days of production, delivery in approx. 7–10 days in total.

Really happy with the customer service - a solid 5 stars! Very friendly and quick contact. For example, I wanted to know whether the rather long wall plugs and screws are necessary for a carbon bike, and whether mounting on a plasterboard wall is possible or makes sense.
For everyone asking themselves the same questions and therefore unsure whether to buy the wall mount: yes, it works wonderfully.
I simply replaced the supplied wall plugs with cavity wall anchors on the advice of Steffen from the BicycleDudes team. Thanks to the box shape of the wall mount, the weight is spread over a larger area of the wall than with rods, for example. I was still able to use the screws because there is enough cavity behind the wall. If that is not the case, I recommend shorter screws with the same diameter. -

Frequently asked questions about bike wall mounts
What is the best way to hang my bike on the wall?
The most space-saving and attractive way is horizontally by the top tube – the bike hangs on the wall like a picture and only needs about 35 cm of depth. This works for road bikes, gravel bikes, fixies and city bikes with a diamond frame up to approx. 20 kg. All options compared: How to hang your bike at home.
Which bike wall mount is right for me?
How much weight can a wooden bike wall mount hold?
Our frame models hold approx. 20 kg, the 8-sided stacks Henry and Max approx. 18 kg. That's enough for road bikes (usually 7–10 kg), gravel bikes and most city bikes.
Does every bike fit your mounts?
The mounts are made for bikes with a continuous top tube: road bikes, gravel bikes, fixies, single-speeds, trekking and city bikes with a diamond frame. For step-through frames, trapeze frames and e-bikes over 20 kg, we recommend a floor stand – more on this in our guide Hanging an e-bike on the wall.
My handlebars are wide – wider than 60 cm. Will it still work?
Yes. The bike hangs just as securely; with handlebars wider than approx. 60 cm, they simply turn in a little. It's mainly a question of looks. For mountain bikes, take a look at our guide Mountain bike on the wall.
At what height should I mount the bike wall mount?
So that the front wheel hangs freely and you can lift the bike up comfortably. Hold your bike horizontally against the wall and mark the underside of the top tube – that gives you the position. Step by step: What height for a bike wall mount?
Can I mount it on plasterboard or a stud wall?
Yes, with suitable metal cavity wall anchors or directly into the studs. The supplied wall plugs are intended for brick and concrete walls. On our advice, one customer mounted his Fritz on plasterboard with cavity wall anchors – and it holds. More: Mounting a wall mount on plasterboard.
Is mounting hardware included?
Yes, screws and wall plugs come with every mount. All you need is a drill, a spirit level and ideally a cable and pipe detector.
Will hanging my bike damage it?
No. Frames are built for much higher loads. What matters is a soft, even contact surface – that's why all frame models are optionally available with a felt lining, including for carbon frames.
How long is your delivery time?
Approx. 7–10 days: around 5 working days of production plus shipping. We don't keep stock: every mount is made in our partner carpentry workshop after you order, lacquered and then shipped to you with DHL. Shipping within Germany is free. Will my order arrive before Christmas?
Yes, if you order by 14 December (by 11 December for Austria) – your mount will then usually arrive before Christmas Eve. You'll find gift ideas for every cyclist in our guide Gifts for cyclists.
Do you also deliver to Austria?
Yes. We ship to Austria with DHL: free on orders from €150, €10 for orders of €100–149.99 and €16 below that. From order to delivery it usually takes approx. 8–12 days, because every mount is made in the workshop first. For Christmas: order by 11 December.
Is a bike wall mount a good gift?
For anyone whose bike lives in the basement or hallway, definitely: it brings their favourite bike into the home and is a piece of furniture at the same time. Just check beforehand that the bike has a continuous top tube and weighs less than 20 kg.
Is my bike safer in my home?
Indoors, your bike is much better protected from theft, wet and cold than in a courtyard or basement. The mount itself is not a lock – the protection comes from the location. Tips: Storing your bike safe from theft.
Am I allowed to drill holes for a bike wall mount in a rented flat?
Putting things up on the wall is generally considered part of normal residential use – a mount only needs a few holes. Still, check your tenancy agreement and fill the holes neatly when you move out. General overview, not legal advice: Bikes in a rented flat.

Can you make custom colours or sizes?
We no longer offer custom colours or sizes as standard – making a one-off piece would simply be too expensive for you. If you have a special project in mind, feel free to get in touch via our contact form; we will tell you honestly whether it is possible and at what price.
