Gifts for cyclists who already have everything
In short: The best way to delight cyclists who already have everything is with experiences, services and things they would never treat themselves to: a professional bike fitting, a taster session at a velodrome, a full bike service, a cycling holiday or a bike that hangs on the wall as a design piece. For our wall mounts: order by 14 December = delivery before Christmas.
Why accessories rarely work for people who have it all
Anyone who has been riding seriously for years owns three pumps, two multi-tools and a drawer full of rear lights. Accessories bought on a hunch often just end up on a shelf. At the same time, experienced riders in particular have very precise ideas about brands and parts. The better strategy: give time, knowledge or an experience. Or something that belongs not on the bike, but around it.

| under €25 | A selection of coffee beans for a café stop at home | For many people, coffee and cycling simply go together. |
| €25–75 | A full clean and chain service at a bike shop | Saves a whole afternoon of scrubbing. |

How to give an experience the right way
An experience is hard to put under the tree. Here is how to make it tangible anyway:
- Sort out the date: Courses and bike fittings are often booked up weeks in advance. Ask providers whether a preferred date can be chosen later.
- Add something to hold: A printed route map, a brochure of the region or a matching small item such as a water bottle.
- Do it together: Many experiences are even better if you come along. You will find ideas for two in the article Gifts for couples who love cycling.
What experienced cyclists rarely buy for themselves
A few things are surprisingly often missing even from well-equipped basements, because people don't treat themselves to them:
- A second wheelset for winter that keeps the winter tyres fitted (only if you know the exact sizes).
- A professional fork or shock service at a specialist dealer.
- A high-quality set of cleaning brushes, if they have been cleaning with old toothbrushes so far.
A useful gift hardly anyone thinks of
Experienced riders often have an expensive bike but no good place for it. It leans against the hallway wall or stands between the bins in the basement. That is why a wall mount is a gift that even people who have everything rarely own. Our mounts are made to order from oak or birch in a partner carpentry workshop.
- Johannes from €169: oak with shelf, German Design Award 2019.
- Franz-Josef from €159: with a shelf for helmet and glasses.
- Henry (€65): for the second or third bike's spot on the wall.
To be honest, not suitable for e-bikes over 20 kg or bikes without a top tube. Anyone who already has one of our mounts will be happier with a felt wheel strap for €10.
Checklist: Does a wall mount suit the recipient's bike?
- Is there a free top tube, and does the bike weigh less than about 20 kg?
- Handlebars wider than approx. 60 cm? The front wheel will turn in, but the bike still holds.

Frequently asked questions
What do you give a cyclist who already has everything?
An experience such as a bike fitting, a track cycling course or a cycling holiday, a professional bike service or a beautiful place for the bike on the wall.
What is a special gift for cyclists?
Something personal: a poster of their own rides of the year, a photo book of their favourite bike or a cycling weekend together.
What is a useful gift for experienced cyclists?
A service that saves time, such as a full service at a bike shop, or a bike fitting that improves their riding position.
Is a bike fitting worth giving as a gift?
For people who ride a lot and for long distances, yes. A well-fitted riding position can help prevent knee and back problems. Agree on the date beforehand.
What do I give a cyclist who never says what they want?
Time together on the bike, a workshop service for their favourite bike or a personal poster of their rides. These ideas almost always work.
